Grundfos Alpha ECM Pump
Description
Grundfos ALPHA1 is versatile and efficient circulator designed for heating and hot water recirculation systems. It features constant pressure control mode with three settings; Low, Intermediate, High. The intuitive one-button operation makes selection of the settings easy. The current operating mode is always visible on LED display.
Compact design
With the electronics integrated into the motor housing and standard 2-Bolt flange connection, installation into confined spaces and challenging applications are now possible. The ALPHA1 materials and design resist blockage from magnetite and iron oxide particles found in closed hydronic systems. The large LED display shows the current energy consumption in Watts and estimated flow in gallons per minute
Robust startup
- Enables the ALPHA1 to continuously attempt to restart – indefinitely – in blocked rotor conditions
- ALPHA1 is complete with an integrated check-valve, and nut captures for flanges. It comes in both cast iron and stainless steel models
- Two options for power connections
- For installation, you have the flexibility to use either our unique ALPHA Plug with line cord or the ALPHA1 with terminal box for conduit connections
AUTOADAPT
The super-effective AUTOADAPT function automatically adapts the pump to
changes in demand and figures out the optimal performance. This means end
users can have the best possible comfort combined with minimum energy
consumption. AUTOADAPT works in virtually all systems.
AUTOADAPT software recognizes changes in system demands, i.e…valves
opening and closing. By monitoring the motor current vs. pump hydraulic
relationships, motor speeds are adjusted automatically to reflect changing
head-flow requirements. Ensuring maximum energy savings and comfort level.
APPLICATIONS
- Hydronic heating
- Fan coil heating
- Solar heating
- Radiant heating systems
